Danieka Leclerc

Danieka is a graduate of DancEast’s Professional Training Program and a former soloist

and principal dancer with the DancEast young Company. She is a graduate from the

New-Brunswick Community College as an Early Childhood Educator with honours.

She began dancing at the age of three, and since then has attended many workshops and

masterclasses in Ballet, Jazz and Modern. Danieka began her dance training with Harriet

Gratian graduate of the National Ballet School of Dance, Morrison School of dance and

founder of DancEast Studio. Among her instructors and mentors she has trained

extensively under Ballet Mistress Dina Leisch graduate from the Bolshoi Ballet School

and Mr. André Lucas graduate of Les Grands Ballets Canadiens and founding member of

les Ballets Jazz de Montréal.

For the past three years, Danieka has been delighted to be part of the DanSing

Performance Studio staff as a dance instructor/choreographer and a Preschool teacher at

the Centre Educatif l'Envol in Labrador City.

In addition to her teaching experience with DancEast and DanSing, Danieka has taught

for the Mariposa Skating Club in their off-ice training program. She has also been a

choreographer for the musical Rockin Eve and other projects in Labrador City.
